Re: What a wonderful weekend
Bob replied to the previous email, and Peter panics that Essie and Linda are pushing too much on Bob.
Episode #12: Re: What a wonderful weekend
Apr,29 2025
Hi Bob,
I am so relieved that everything is cool. And that the car accident story ending was fake. It felt so real until the punchline, and now that you explained that you took something that occurred to your father, and added an actual horror twist, I can see the seems, and it's well told.
I even understand the lack of phone signal, it was before cellphones were a thing, right?
I am not surprised that on your walk, Essie showed Linda the house for sale. Not surprised at all. That's Essie all right, but I am completely shocked that Linda, wants to visit it.
Is that something that you would be comfortable with? I mean, it is pushing on you a lot.
So, I believe in radical honesty, but can we take a short break from it? Like, not hide this conversation from our wives, but like, not tell them right away and just talk man to man?
If so, is that what you want, Bob? To move in at the resort? Because Linda, from what you just emailed me, is entertaining the idea of moving in here, when I just told you that our friendship doesn't need that.
This is like, me, trying to deescalate the situation, and Essie and Linda taking out a rocket launcher!
So, perhaps today, you should decide what you want to do.
Sure, your kids made friends, and they had fun with them. You even liked their parents. That's all well, but what if they can't get along in the long term? What if they split apart and your kids want to give up on naturism.
Plenty of teenagers decide to put a pause on naturism while their bodies are changing.
If it's what you want, go for it! We will help you in any way we can. Perhaps in giving you tricks and tips. Perhaps in helping with the move itself, but Bob, you were worried about spending a weekend and Essie goes too far and proposes that you move in?
I can see why she didn't tell me. Not that she lied or hid it, it's just so herself that she didn't put any attention on it.
If you'd like, I can have a talk with her about boundaries.
Or perhaps, I am just overreacting and Linda only wants to visit it out of curiosity?
I don't know, I feel like we are pushing far too much on you.
Sorry if it's the case, Bob,
Your friend, Peter
